Wondering alone[Vince] « Thread Started on Aug 31, 2009, 9:23pm »
Walking down the boardwalk to the beach, the young secret vampire known as Rosalind or Rosie peered down toward the beach. It was a calm, yet gloomy day and it was perfect for her. The sun had set and it was getting rather chilly outside. She preferred it this way because what Vampire likes sun? None that she knew of, it would destroy them. Every time she came down to the beach at dusk it was always beautiful, never scary and she could always feel peaceful if she had been stressed from the days prior.
She gave a small sigh as she looked out into the ocean. She dare not go into the water at this hour, however she loved to feel the sand and walk near the oceans edge, the cold water lightly washing over her feet and making it peaceful. Rosie always seemed to get lost in her thoughts as she walked up and down te strip of beach. It was a two mile walk each way, but it was a place she could get her anger out and unwind, even if it was with a friend or lover.
There was a specific reason she had come to the beach tonight though. She had been angry with her best friend that she had lived with. It turns out that she told her secret that she was a secret vampire. Though there were many vampires in the area, she felt that she was different than most because she didn't drink human blood, that she drank fake blood to supplement the cravings. Sometimes she would drink animal blood, but she didn't feel that was right either so she would hold off until she just couldn't take it anymore and to feed.
The wind blew and she caught a unique scent in the air that only a vampire like herself could pick up. Another vampire in the area perhaps? Possibly, or a human. Either way, she felt as though she was being stalked and watched, in which she never liked. The wind gave her a small chill as she shivered wrapping her jacket closely around her and put her hands in her pocket to keep them warmer. "Who's there?" she asked as the wind whistled loudly over her listening ears for any sort of movement.
If for any reason she needed to protect herself she had her pocket knife on her and she knew how to use it. It was spring loaded so it was perfect if she was grabbed from behind. Her right hand, her strongest hand, wrapped around it just in case it needed to be whipped out in an instant to defend herself. "Tell me who you are right now." she said sternly as she growled softly her eyes searching around seeing a guy that seemed to be her age. She stood there not quite sure what to do, she wasn't about to go by him just in case he wasn't friendly.
